With the expansion of The Restaurant Store in 2003, Brian was invited to assist in the growth of "the family business." Brian is the developer of KeyWestChef.com, which is the e-commerce arm of The Restaurant Store. Among other duties, he is responsible for the IT infrastructure and internal systems designed to facilitate operations, increase efficiency and reach new customers. Current projects include the implementation of a new back-end accounting system and a new and improved web site.
Prior to joining The Restaurant Store team, Brian spent 17 years in the information technology field working for Fidelity National, Norwest, Moore Data Management, Vistainfo and BORIS Systems. He held management positions in Marketing, Customer Training and Project Management. As National Training Manager, Brian and his staff successfully completed over 120 major system implementations, trained over 100,000 end users and met revenue targets for 11 straight years. As Business Manager of one of 12 regional offices, Brian was responsible for the daily operations of a private network that served 3000 users, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Brian has completed specialized training in sales negotiations, human resources management, Microsoft Solutions Framework and Total Quality Management. He has written six computer instruction manuals and numerous articles for company publications. He is a 1984 graduate of Kalamazoo College and divides his time between Key West, Florida and a small town in Southwest Michigan where he resides with his family.
